ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is an evidence-based approach that helps children build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement and data-driven strategies. At Little Steps, every session is delivered by a master's-level BCBA (not an entry-level tech), ensuring consistent, high-quality care.

We bring ABA therapy to your home in Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Flower Mound, and nearby DFW neighborhoods. Your BCBA teaches skills where your child actually lives and plays, so skills generalize faster into everyday routines. This model is convenient for families and lets you see and learn the exact strategies being used. See our services: In-Home ABA Services.
Your child learns in real-life settings (mealtimes, bedtime, transitions), you save time on commuting, and progress shows up naturally in everyday routines. Because services are BCBA-led, protocols are refined in real time for faster progress. Read more: Our Curriculum.
We focus on skills that improve daily life: communication, social interaction, play, self-help routines, and emotional regulation. We address challenging behaviors (e.g., tantrums, aggression, self-injury, noncompliance) by teaching functional replacement skills. Explore: Skills We Target.
Goals come from a comprehensive BCBA assessment, standardized tools, direct observation, and your family's priorities. We write measurable, functional targets—never a generic checklist. See: Assessment & Curriculum.
Before therapy begins, your BCBA observes your child's skills, reviews strengths and challenges with you, and maps a personalized treatment plan including recommended hours. Think of it as a clear "starting point" so we can measure meaningful growth.
Hours vary by need. Some children benefit from 10–15 hours/week, others from 20–30 hours/week for comprehensive support. Your BCBA will recommend a plan during assessment. Most insurance plans cover medically necessary ABA (see Insurance).
Duration depends on goals and progress. Some families work with us for months; others for a couple of years. We review data frequently and adjust to maintain momentum and engagement.
We schedule around your routines. Sessions are typically 2–3 hours, several times per week. Because we're in-home, your BCBA coordinates times that fit naturally into your child's day.
Yes. Parent involvement is central to success. We offer structured parent coaching so you can use the same strategies between visits. Consistency at home accelerates progress. Read about our approach to assent and engagement: Assent in Practice.
Parents are welcome to observe every session. We follow the BACB Ethical Code and prioritize compassionate, assent-based care and least-restrictive procedures. If you have concerns, we address them immediately and transparently.
For insurance coverage, children typically need a formal autism diagnosis. We also accept private-pay. We complete an initial assessment, verify benefits, and obtain authorizations where needed. Details: Insurance & Billing.
Costs depend on your plan and treatment intensity. We verify benefits up front and provide a clear estimate before you commit. Learn more: Insurance & Costs.
Typically 2–6 weeks, depending on assessment, insurance authorization, and scheduling. Some families start sooner. The earlier you reach out, the faster we can begin. Contact us.
Sessions are play-based and individualized: communication practice, imitation games, turn-taking, daily living routines, and social play aligned with your child's interests. ABA shouldn't feel like endless table work—it should be engaging and meaningful.
We provide weekly parent coaching so you can practice evidence-based strategies between visits. One of the best parts of in-home ABA is seeing the procedures firsthand and getting real-time feedback—this consistency speeds up results.
